Liverpool's lost theme park with 'Jam River' and 'Death Slide'
A lost Liverpool theme park still remembered for its "Jam River" and "Death Slide" was loved by generations in the city and beyond. If you grew up in Liverpool in the 80s and 90s, it's likely you'll remember visiting the legendary Pleasure Island. Located on the site of The Festival Gardens on Otterspool Promenade, the sprawling amusement complex was a big hit with kids and local families. The original Pleasure Island opened after the 1984 International Garden Festival and closed its doors for the final time in 1997. #liverpoolecho #nostalgia #oldfootage #lostthemepark FULL STORY: https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/...
