About the Lancia Rally: In the 1980s, the World Rally Championship (WRC) was contested in a category known as Group B. The Rally 037, the beautiful 2WD mid-engine car we test drove today, competed fiercely against 4WD Audis during the first half of the season. Its engine was developed by the legendary Abarth. Because its development code was "SE037," the car's official name, Lancia Rally, was later changed to the Rally 037 or 037 Rally. This time, we're featuring a road-going Stradale, of which just over 200 were produced for Group B certification. Nearly 40 years later, this car demonstrates just how amazing the Group B era was.
