Gli scout cacciati dalle chiese di Napoli: "Preferiscono i soldi del turismo al volontariato"

A few weeks ago in Naples, AGESCI, one of the main scout associations, sent an open letter to the mayors and bishops of the dioceses of Naples and Pozzuoli to denounce the progressive loss of scout offices in local parishes. Many AGESCI groups have lost their offices or are forced to make long-term pilgrimages between parishes to request accommodation for their activities.   Even historic groups have lost their offices, such as the Chiaia group at the Pontano Institute, a Jesuit-owned facility, which after 60 years had to leave its headquarters on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, or the Vomero group, which after 40 years is preparing to leave the Franciscan parish on Via Aniello Falcone.   The reason, as they tell Fanpage.it, is always the same: religious orders and parishes need to generate revenue from their real estate, and scouts don't bring in money; in fact, they're a burden.
