Red Cliff Fish Company | Bayfield, AppleFest | Hauser's Farm
In this episode of Wisconsin Foodie, Host Luke Zahm travels to the northern tip of the state, Bayfield, to visit Applefest. Applefest brings in 50,000 people to Bayfield throughout the weekend to enjoy not only the beautiful apples but the different seasonal foods and cultural dishes. Luke visits with Calli from Hauser's Superior View Farms to talk about a special one of a kind apple that they produce. Afterward, Luke travels to the Red Cliff Fish Co to hear more about the impact of the Red Cliff tribe on the community and how they are trying to create a sustainable food economy not only for their tribes but the larger community. Luke prepares a dish on the shore of Lake Superior using the Hauser’s apples and Red Cliff whitefish fish.
