Shelter girl Opi has officially been adopted 🤍 Dogs who are surrendered are not broken. They are not “bad dogs.” So many of them are simply confused, grieving, overstimulated, or adjusting after losing the only home they’ve ever known. Behind the barking, pacing, or nervous energy is usually just a dog begging to feel safe and loved again. Opi reminded me how deeply shelter dogs still love despite everything they’ve been through. They don’t stop trusting humans. They don’t stop hoping. All they need is patience, decompression, guidance, and someone willing to see past the kennel walls. The love of a surrendered dog is something truly special. When they finally feel safe again, you can feel their whole nervous system soften. Watching Opi find her forever home was such a beautiful reminder that rescue dogs are worthy, resilient, and full of love. 🤍
