Shotgun Slade (October 24, 1959)
A western TV series with a twist: instead of a gunslinger or a sheriff/marshal, the main character was a private detective. The program ran in syndication from 1959-61 for a total of 78 episodes. Scott Brady portrayed Slade. In the premiere episode, "The Missing Train", Slade is called upon in the case of an entire train that has gone missing, and aboard it was one million dollars in coins.
