🇬🇧 English RE-FARM – Research on Agroecological Innovations for Increasing Resilience to Climate Change in Cuanza Sul and Benguela Where Science and Communities Meet This documentary tells the story of the RE-FARM – Research on Agroecological Innovations for Increasing Resilience to Climate Change in Cuanza Sul and Benguela project, where scientific research and community participation came together to develop and test agroecological innovations that strengthen the resilience of rural communities to climate change. Between 2022 and 2026, the project was implemented in the provinces of Cuanza Sul and Benguela, Angola, bringing together researchers, students, extension workers, public institutions, civil society organizations, and smallholder farmers in a collaborative process of research, experimentation, and knowledge exchange. Through Farmer Field Schools, participatory research, and on-farm demonstrations, the project promoted innovative practices such as water harvesting techniques, agroecological approaches to improve soil water management, sustainable soil fertility management, agroforestry, the use of biofertilizers, and integrated pest management. By combining scientific evidence with local knowledge, RE-FARM contributed to enhancing agricultural productivity, strengthening climate resilience, and promoting the sustainable management of natural resources. This documentary highlights the voices, experiences, and achievements of the people who made this journey possible, demonstrating how collaboration between science and communities can generate lasting and sustainable change. ⸻ 🇵🇹 Português RE-FARM – Research on Agroecological Innovations for Increasing Resilience to Climate Change in Cuanza Sul and Benguela Onde a Ciência Encontra as Comunidades Este documentário conta a história do Projecto RE-FARM – Research on Agroecological Innovations for Increasing Resilience to Climate Change in Cuanza Sul and Benguela, onde a investigação científica e a participação comunitária se uniram para desenvolver e testar inovações agroecológicas capazes de reforçar a resiliência das comunidades rurais face às alterações climáticas.
