After the official ceremonies surrounding the change of throne in Luxembourg, there was an enthusiastic moment for the public. Guillaume and Stephanie, the newly crowned Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, appeared on the palace balcony together with their children Charles and François. A little later, the rest of the grand ducal family joined them. The royals representing the Netherlands and Belgium also waved cheerfully to the crowd.
