Melton Level Crossing, Suffolk

Date filmed: 21/04/2021 Video filmed at 14:36 Route: East Suffolk Line Melton Station Location: A1152 Wilford Bridge Road, Melton Trains: Class 755 (Greater Anglia) - 0:58 Ipswich ➡ Lowestoft A half barrier, formerly un-gated, level crossing located on the busy A1152 just outside of Woodbridge in Suffolk, next to Melton Station. There are two alarms at this level crossing which each sound at a reasonable volume given the levels of environmental volume here, and there are two fairly long half barriers here which were installed back in 2014 as the level crossing used to have no barriers. At the time of filming, a lot of shipping containers were being stored just off of the main road in clear view of the level crossing. Around a second and a half has been cut from the video before the train's departure as I sneezed whilst filming. Thanks for watching!
