Woodbridge (Jetty) User-worked Level Crossing, Suffolk

Date filmed: 21/04/2021 Video filmed at 14:17 Route: East Suffolk Line Woodbridge Station Location: Jetty Lane, Woodbridge Trains: Class 755 (Greater Anglia) - 1:00 Lowestoft ➡ Ipswich A user-worked level crossing with red/green lights located on one of the more westerly entrances to the Quay on the banks of the River Deben in Woodbridge. Two Schweiser 'Value for Money System' units were installed here in early 2021 due to an increase in pedestrians using the level crossing, and the alarms within these units are reasonably loud. These are accompanied by pedestrian gates each side, as well as one large metal gate per side which can only be opened and closed by authorised users. A 'fake train horn' unit can be seen next to this level crossing, but it is apparent that this is not used anymore as it did not sound when the train approached. Thanks for watching!
