BMW E28/E30 Intake Manifold Rebuild & Installation | Complete Step-by-Step | Part 2

Will work for E30 applications too! In Part 2 of the 1988 BMW 535is revival, we're restoring, rebuilding, and reinstalling the intake manifold from start to finish. In Part 1, I showed how to remove the intake manifold from the car. Now it's time to clean it up, refresh the supporting components, and get everything back together. This video covers the entire process in detail, including: Sandblasting the intake manifold Painting and refinishing the manifold Installing new gaskets Replacing vacuum lines and hoses Refreshing miscellaneous hardware and wear items Reassembly and installation Final startup and road test I take my time explaining every step along the way, making this a complete guide for anyone working on an M30-powered BMW. While this project is performed on my 1988 BMW E28 535is, much of the process is very similar for E30 owners performing M30 swaps or servicing their intake systems. The installation itself was easily a 9/10 difficulty job due to the tight access, hidden fasteners, and number of components that need to be removed and reinstalled correctly. After weeks of work, the car is finally back on the road and driving again! If you haven't seen Part 1 yet, be sure to check it out first, where I walk through the complete intake manifold removal process.
