Frontier Fire Starting

Fire starting was a vital part of life in the woods, on a trek, or in the cabin. Especially on the harsh frontier. In this episode I highlight period accounts of fire making among natives and colonials. This isn't your normal fire making video but rather a scholastic look at what they said about how they did it. One note: I say the word "popular" when referring to a poplar tree and I did so very much on purpose. That is part of the original quote.
