Grinding of Neolithic Flint Axes. Sagnlandet, (subtitles) Slibning af bondestenalderens flintøkser

Many flint axes from Denmark's antiquity are finely polished. But how was this demanding work carried out? At the Research Centre in Lejre (now Sagnlandet), experiments were conducted in the early 1980s on the production and grinding of flint axes. The experiments were led by the two archaeologists, Bo Madsen and Jacques Pelegrin. The experiment with grinding flint axes has since gained classic status, and excerpts from this film are also in the National Museum's permanent exhibition on Denmark's Antiquity.
