Training Drill For The Lead Hook + Lateral Movement | Absolute Beginners Boxing Basics | Session 7

Here is a link for the follow on session, session 8:    • Beginner Punch Combinations Training Drill...   Here is a link for if you want to start from the beginning, session 1:    • Absolute Beginners Boxing: Learn How To Se...   This video is a training drill where we start to put into practice the 'Basic Lead Hook' that was learnt in session 6 (   • How To Perform The Lead Hook Punch | Absol...  ) and incorporates the basic lateral movement together with this punch technique. This training drill works the 'Basic Lead Hook' through progressive paces, enabling learning through a reduced pace practice of the mechanics of the hook punch technique whilst enabling progressive utilisation of lateral movement to help coordinate the body as well as developing balance in the boxing stance after moving. This will help develop muscle memory to coordinate footwork and the punches together. This video also helps to reinforce the process of neurophysical learning from all of the previous sessions, where the participant now reacts to combined punches and movements through specific 'call out commands'. This training drill will also begin to help to develop further neurophysical learning by hearing the specific punches called and therefore applying reflex responses in performing the punches and movements practised in this training drill.
