THE ABANDONED ENGINE AT MINE SKLIVES (2020) | SHORT FILM | ADDICTED2H2O (Discovering the Engine) Within the context of the the underwater exploration at the Greek Mines of Lavreotiki Region, this is a short film from the mission to find the missing engine at Sklives. Since the Lavrio Mines Exploration project started in June of 2019 it had always been a goal of the team to locate the engine and other machinery which were thought to have been left deep in the mining facilities when these flooded back in the late 70s. During the spring of 2020, information obtained by Mr.Vasilis Stergiou which he shared with us confirmed this as highly probable, although the exact location would have to be explored underwater. With the help of expert in this field Hercules Katsaros and additional information obtained by Mr. Kostas Papathanasiou an ex worker of the mine the team set out in September 2020 on a mission to find it. This short film documents these efforts, above and below water, ultimately reaching the goal of locating the engine.
