🇫🇷🇩🇪Visiting cute towns that inspired Ghibli & Disney movies - Worth it or Overhyped?? ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა

When we first got back from this trip, I felt quite disappointed, we hadn't planned much and hoped we would be able to easily hop around little towns and keep busy for a week. The truth is, we got bored and quickly felt that the costs started to outweigh the benefits. The towns were cute yes, but it honestly took us less than 1h to explore (sometimes 30min even) to see what was so hyped up about them. So you can understand how frustrating it is to take the train and be done with the exploration in less time than the train journey itself... I really needed to take some steps back to appreciate the towns for what they were, towns with uniqueness to them but small towns nonetheless, not theme parks made to entertain our tourist asses 24/7. I guess these things happen and editing this video now made me so grateful for the experience of finally experiencing some of the towns I've longed to see for years. These moments transported me back to some childhood movies by Ghibli and Disney, and funny enough Attack on titan (whose inspo town we sadly couldn't visit) and made me wonder how much each town, if any, we visited inspired artists whose works I grew up with. Strasbourg, Colmar, Freiburg im breisgau, Eguisheim. Important note!! there are two Freiburg!!
