Spicy Korean Carrot Salad/ Morkovcha This recipe was created by Koreans, settled in Central Asian republics of former Soviet Union because the were missing their spice "kimchi" salad that was made with Napa cabbage, which was impossible to find there, so, carrots were the substitute. You will need: 1 lb large carrots 2 cloves garlic(minced) ½ ts ground coriander ½ ts paprika ½ ts chili powder ¼ ts cayenne pepper 1 ts salt ½ ground white or black pepper 1 ts sugar 2 tbs plain white vinegar or rice vinegar ½ tbs chili oil 1 tbs sesame seeds some chopped cilantro Peel your carrots a n grade them on a large grader or cut then thinly in julienne cut. Add all your dry spices and vinegar, toss well. Mince garlic and place in the center of the salad. In a small sauce pan heat up your oils. Pour oil over garlic and quickly toss your salad.
