Back in the Groove After Hip Surgery
Elizabeth Roxas-Dobrish, Alvin Ailey School Dance teacher and former Alvin Ailey dancer, began experiencing hip pain while teaching a class. The pain increased and began to interfere with her teaching ability. She was referred by a fellow dance teacher to see an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip pain at Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Edwin Su understood how important dance was to Elizabeth and decided a total hip replacement would be her best option. Now Elizabeth is back in the game, dancing and teaching in time for a new performance season, with special thanks to Dr. Su.
