"Creo que voy a interpelar a Negro todos los meses": Pedro Bordaberry

Yesterday was marked by the questioning of Interior Minister Carlos Negro in the Senate. Summoned by Senator Pedro Bordaberry of the Colorado Party, the minister had to answer questions about the security situation, following the recent presentation of the National Public Security Plan. During the session, Bordaberry specified that the purpose of the questioning was "to guide the ruling party so as not to repeat the mistakes made" in security matters and to admit that "there has been a failure." The Colorado Party senator asserted that Negro is "repeating some of the mistakes of his predecessors." Meanwhile, the Interior Minister took the opportunity to present crime statistics for the last quarter, which had not yet been published. Negro reported that, on average, there was a 7% decrease. According to the minister, this means that the strategy to combat insecurity is "yielding its first results." We spoke with Senator Pedro Bordaberry of the Colorado Party.
