Here is the breakdown of the equipment changes made during this room tune: Swapping out older Z5 Cryo towers for stiffer-membrane C3 cabinets Upgrading the Aavik U-380 integrated and S-180 streamer to the all-in-one Aavik U-588 reference integrated amplifier Adding an Ansuz A3 power switch to isolate incoming network noise from the streaming audio path Decoupling the new towers using generation-three stainless steel Darkz resonance control feet Repositioning the speakers forward to pull the soundstage deeper into the seating area Removing physical furniture sliders from under the spikes to prevent energy absorption before the final listening test The new C3 carbon membranes provide a massive leap in overall resolution. Because the driver cones are significantly stiffer, they eliminate the woolly bass overhang common in older speaker designs, resulting in a much tighter and crisper response across the mid-range and high frequencies.
