Harvesting more than 1000 peaches took the whole morning, and harvesting basket after basket quickly filled the yard with fresh fruits ready for market sale. Harvesting such a large harvest was tiring, but it became one of the most rewarding days of the season. The purple peaches had soft, juicy flesh with a delicate floral aroma and a perfect balance of sweetness and light acidity. They were especially refreshing when eaten fresh, and their beautiful color attracted many customers at the market. Before long, every basket was empty as the peaches sold out faster than I expected.
