Fishing Lake Houston was on fire, storms kicked us off leaving biting fish!

We hit Lake Houston today and it turned out to be an absolute blast! The morning started with an incredible sunrise—there is nothing quite like watching the lake come to life. We struggled at our first couple of spots, but once we relocated, it was game on. The bite was completely non-stop. In just a short four-hour window, we boated 15 bass, missed a handful of other bites, and lost a couple right at the boat. Our best five went for about 13 pounds, which I think is a phenomenal bag for Lake Houston. My dad’s largest bass was 3.5 pounds and mine was 3 pounds. Unfortunately, a massive thunderstorm rolled in and forced us to leave them biting. We managed to load up and beat the downpour by mere minutes. I cannot wait to get back out here.
