Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE SDV6 3.0L 2012 Catastrophic Engine Failure. Rebuild by QP Online Ltd

I thought the big ends on my D4 2012 had gone and looked for an engineer recommendation from a Land Rover facebook group and received three instant recommendations for a company called "QP Online Ltd" Maidstone, Kent UK.   / qponlineltd   It's quite a big problem   / 332835637420687   Having checked them out and spoken to them. I agreed a deal and my car was transported to them. They sent me photographic and video updates of the whole process, from which I have made most of this video. In fact the main bearings had gone and the crankshaft had snapped (at 141,000 miles). So, Marko and team lifted the body, removed the engine, stripped it down completely, line bored the block, put in a new crankshaft with up graded "beefier" bearings that are improved from the Land Rover ones so that they will not spin again, (unlike what happened to mine), fitted new con rods, honed the bores and fitted new piston rings, rebuilt both heads, reground the valves and put it all back together like it was brand new. All new seals, cam belts (front and rear and bearings), fluids and air con re-gas. Estimated work time given was 10-15 days and it was in fact completed in 10 working days. I am highly delighted with the quality of QP Online Ltd's work. The cleanliness of the workshop, and their friendly, open communication and service is, in my experience, second to none.
