EP 1 - Singapore, Merlion, Heritage walk, China town, Maxwell Hawker centre chicken rice

This episode is about a mix of old and new Singapore. Following are the activities done during the day. Date of Journey - 3 July Following Merlion - Most popular tourist location - right in front of MBS- Marina Bay sands. Fullerton Hotel - Old heritage hotel Mahatama Gandhi Immersion - Walking distance from Merlion Capita Spring Building - https://shorturl.at/RK9Ui Terrace visit is free with prior booking.Try to book 15 to 20 days in advance. Yakun kaya Toast - 3 SGD, egg 2 pieces - 2.2 SGD, coffee 2.2 SGD This is a popular breakfast joint of Singapore with multiple branches. Vivo city - This is a good place for view of sentosa plus a very big mall of singapore. Vivo City Food Court - Thunder Tea is a must try , you will also get this at Lau Pa sat. China Town - Temple - Buddha Tooth Relic- This is a must visit, If you are interested in trying veg chinese food , particularly laksa, you can get this on select dates at basement canteen of this temple. China Town Market - Any time of the day is good to visit, prefer going in 2nd half of the day. Durian and mangosteen - must try fruits in this market. China Town Hindu Temple - Mariamman Temple- Oldest HIndu temple of Singapore is in China town. Pinnacle at Duxton - You can visit the ground floor, pay the charges and they will allow you to visit terrace, I went there through a resident, so don’t have first hand experience. Maxwell dinner - Had Chicken Rice, very good, Tian Tian chicken rice is closed for dinner, if you go there during lunch, you can try this famous restaurant. China Town night view - I will suggest you not to do any extra effort for night view of china town, in my opinion day experience is better or at best evening experience of this market. Hotel for stay - I stayed at Village albert court near little india - 4 nights- 10k per day without breakfast. Hotel orchard holiday inn express- 2 nights - 21k per day with breakfast. Hotel siloso beach resort- sentoda 2 nights. - 22k per day with breakfast. My idea to stay at orchard road and sentosa was not so great bcoz of high cost and less gain. Better stay at some hotel near little india, import point - try to look for hotel where MRT is at close distance and your evening dinner joints will be close by. Hope you enjoyed watching this video.
