Small batch fudgy brownies baked in a 2lb (9x5 inch) loaf tin 🍫💖 Ingredients (in grams): ▪️100 grams unsalted butter ▪️100 grams dark chocolate ▪️60 grams plain flour ▪️20 grams cocoa powder ▪️½ teaspoon salt ▪️150 grams golden caster sugar ▪️1 large egg, room temperature ▪️1 teaspoon vanilla extract ▪️80 grams chocolate chips Ingredients (in cups): For best results, I recommend using gram measurements ✨ I used this calculator to convert to cups: https://charlotteslivelykitchen.com/g... ▪️¼ cup + 3 tablespoons unsalted butter ▪️½ cup + 1 tablespoon dark chocolate ▪️¼ cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour ▪️3 tablespoons cocoa powder ▪️½ teaspoon salt ▪️¾ cup golden caster sugar ▪️1 large egg, room temperature ▪️1 teaspoon vanilla extract ▪️¼ cup + 3 tablespoons chocolate chips Instructions: 1) Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) / 160°C fan. Grease and line a 2lb (23x13 cm / 9x5 inch) loaf tin with baking paper. This is the tin I used: https://amzn.to/46v2ZIK (affiliate link). 2) Melt the butter and dark chocolate together gently, either in the microwave in short bursts or using a bain marie. Stir until smooth, then set aside to cool slightly so it’s warm, not hot. 3) Sift the flour and cocoa powder into a medium bowl, add the salt, then stir to combine. Set aside. 4) In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, sugar, and vanilla vigorously until pale, slightly thickened, and fluffy. 5) Pour in the melted chocolate mixture and gently mix until fully combined. 6) Add the dry ingredients and fold gently until only a few streaks of flour remain. 7) Add the chocolate chips and fold again until evenly distributed and no flour streaks remain. 8) Pour the batter into the prepared loaf tin and smooth the top. Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top if you like. 9) Bake for 24-28 minutes, until the edges are set but the centre still looks slightly underbaked. A skewer inserted into the middle should come out with thick fudgy crumbs, not wet batter. 10) Leave to cool completely in the tin. Once fully set, lift out and slice.
