As a child, I was always searching for the perfect father. I rejected my "own" father until shortly before his death at age 48. I used to think fathers simply had to be strong—go to work, take responsibility, and always have everything under control. But the older I get, the more I understand how much pressure fathers, especially today, are under. Today, fathers are expected not only to be providers but also listeners, protectors, role models, and emotional support all at once. But was it really easier back then? Or was it simply never talked about? This video is about fatherhood then and now from my perspective as a daughter.
