SF2 is a bit of a weird experience for me. It was the first fighting game I played when fighting against my brother on the SNES, so it was fond in that regard, but as I grew older and started to hear the barrage of remixes Capcom would include for future titles, I actually resented it, not due to the original sound, but more so the mass abundance. I'm quite neutral about the whole thing now, but yeah, enjoy this album! While the title does say city pop, there are instances of 90's Japanese Jazz fusion influences taking a more prominent role in some of the featured songs, as well as end results simply being remasters of its original form, but there are clearly songs here that do exude more of a city pop vibe than JJZ on average.
