So, today's video will be about that. TIP 1: Postpartum nutrition should contain, on average, 400 more calories than a woman is used to eating daily to ensure good milk production. TIP 2: It's recommended that, just as the baby should eat every 3 hours, the mother also eats this way while breastfeeding. TIP 3: Eat plenty of iron, especially through red meat. Meat helps with the body's recovery and also replenishes minerals lost due to postpartum bleeding. TIP 4: Get calcium through dairy products (here's a warning about dairy: this food is often contraindicated due to suspicions of increasing baby colic. However, since it is an important food, test it by consuming milk and dairy products. If your baby has colic, gradually cut back. TIP 5: Drink two to three liters of water a day, especially one large glass before and one after breastfeeding. TIP 6: Eat fruit (especially with skin, such as apples, plums, and pears). Also consume fiber to help prevent or reverse constipation, which is common during this stage due to the enlarged uterus, which compresses the intestines. TIP 7: Avoid heavy, fatty meals, as they pass to your baby through your milk, and your baby's digestive system is not yet prepared for complex foods. TIP 8: Avoid foods that can cause colic in your baby: coffee, chocolate, and soft drinks. cola base, dark greens, lettuce stems, beans, and foods you notice that, when consumed, cause gas and colic in the baby (in my case, sweet potatoes). TIP 9: Hair loss is common after childbirth and usually begins at 3 months of age. Therefore, women should invest in foods rich in iron, protein, vitamin A, and zinc. They should also regularly consume foods such as carrots, Brazil nuts, milk, eggs, yogurt, and meat. This helps strengthen hair, prevents hair loss, and promotes hair growth.
