QUANDO O BEBÊ COMEÇA A MEXER?
That long-awaited moment, is it really moving or is it just my imagination? And to start, who here is already a mother and father and saw the baby moving on the ultrasound since 8/9 weeks of gestation? In the second month of pregnancy, you usually find out you're pregnant… imagine that there's already a little being full of life moving around inside you! It's so wonderful! At this stage, it's not yet possible to clearly perceive the first movements. With plenty of room to move, the fetus has very slight movements, like turning from side to side. You don't feel it yet because the baby is about 1.6 cm long and is super well protected inside your belly by the amniotic fluid (inside a pool) and your uterus. In addition to all the layers of the abdomen around it. So, for you to feel it moving, it will need to grow a little more. Around 16-20 weeks of pregnancy you start to feel the baby move. This can vary slightly for each patient depending on the position of the placenta. It's simply a matter of placental position (attachment): that is, a posterior placenta is located between the baby and the back, while an anterior placenta is located between the baby and the abdomen. There aren't major differences between the two, except for the time it takes to feel the baby move... Some mothers with an anterior placenta start feeling the baby a little later and sometimes don't feel the kicks at all, because the placenta acts as a "shock absorber." This type of placental positioning doesn't interfere with the delivery method. But it can interfere with the perception of the baby's movements. Some women already perceive them as if they were little waves or even a sensation of a breath in their belly. It doesn't necessarily matter how you perceived the movement... but it's important to know that this first movement isn't so obvious. Perhaps you need a quiet place, a moment of calm, and, above all, to place your hand on your belly to feel your baby's movements. Those who watched the 4-month pregnancy video already know that during this period your baby starts to hear your heartbeat and the parents' voices. So, having at least one moment a day to talk to your baby in the womb can help not only with this connection but also with stimulation and better perception of the baby's movements. Eating before this can also stimulate the baby's movement. Generally, women who take longer to feel the baby's movements are those who are busy with their daily lives or who have longer working hours. That's why these tips can help. Long before birth, the child connects with the mother and father, and much of this is due to the movements made and perceived. Let's talk about extero-gestation. The kicks will only start after 20 weeks because that's when your baby is heavily investing in gaining weight. I also talk about this in the 5-month pregnancy video. You will notice the little kicks, and it will also be easier for the dad to notice. So, everyone, the party's on! Your baby's movement is also important for developing the entire musculoskeletal system… in other words, it helps prepare your baby's bones and muscles, because anything that isn't moved tends to atrophy. At six months, the baby becomes more active during the day and often punches and kicks. At the beginning of seven months, it's common to feel jumping movements, which correspond to the fetus's hiccups. It's also quite common to notice movements in the rib area and also in the bladder, leading to the need to urinate more frequently. From eight months onwards, the baby's development reaches its final stage, with the maturation of the systems and preparation for birth. With the decrease in available space, it's common to feel fewer movements. Although these movement habits, both in relation to the weeks and the tricks, are more common, the truth is that there is no rule when it comes to fetal development. Therefore, a baby may move less and with less intensity without this meaning any problem in their development. Even so, if you have any doubts or feel insecure about the subject, it's worth consulting your doctor so they can reassure you.
