Following in its footsteps, this new musical coming-of-age film marks Tomorowo Taguchi's first directorial work in 10 years. Roughly half a century ago, in 1978, around the time the Sex Pistols, the pioneers of punk rock, broke up, something was quietly beginning to sprout in a corner of Tokyo. The newly released trailer begins with the narration, "It was young people who bet on sound that changed the history of Japanese music." The trailer begins with a conversation between Momo (Wakaba Ryuya), the vocalist of TOKAGE, a central figure in the movement, and his mother (Kamino Misuzu) at home: "How much for the train fare?" "I don't have any. Give me 1,000 yen." This is a down-to-earth exchange that's far removed from the image of punk rock. It then depicts, in a fast-paced visual, the youthful days of young people desperately struggling to make their own music. In a society where "sales" is valued above all else, Momo, Sachi (Yoshioka Riho), Michiwo (Nakano Taiga), DEEP (Mamiya Shotaro), and others pursue the best music they can make. And then there's cameraman Yuichi (Mineta Kazunobu), who was selected as their manager because he was "reliable." The footage vividly captures the clash between young people struggling between their ideals and reality, with scenes such as Momo venting her frustration at Yuichi, saying, "Just because something sells doesn't mean it's good," and Yuichi yelling at Momo, "Do it properly!!!!" Furthermore, the trailer also features stunning live performances by Wakaba Ryuya, Nakano Taiga, and Mamiya Shotaro, as well as an ominous scene in which the police visit Momo's parents' home, announcing that an arrest warrant has been issued for her son. It also shows the people surrounding the movement, including Omori Nao, who plays S-TORA, and Nakamura Shido, who plays "Gokutsubushi" vocalist Hiromi, bringing the excitement of youth to the forefront. The trailer concludes with a comical scene featuring Michiwo (Nakano Taiga), vocalist of "Kaibōshitsu," conveying the passion and energy of young people who push forward without being bound by preconceived notions. The film's ending theme song will be a cover of "Declaration of War" by LIZARD, the band that inspired the band TOKAGE, performed by the co-stars Kazunobu Mineta and Ryuya Wakaba. Mineta, who plays the cameraman, unleashes his musical instincts to the fullest, teaming up with Wakaba for this special performance, singing with all his heart. Director Tomorowo Taguchi and screenwriter Kankuro Kudo, who created the landmark rock film "Identity," have teamed up again for this film, which depicts the impulses and youth of nameless young people.
