Daisy said she recently recovered from a prolonged illness following travel to Florida, where she reconnected with her brother and described the visit as a positive step in repairing their relationship. She also reflected on her personal recovery, noting she has been housed for nearly a year, continues EMDR therapy, and has maintained sobriety since August 2018, with renewed contact with one of her sons. She discussed ongoing neighborhood projects, including planting fruit trees and small gardens along Pacific Avenue and Main Street, and said she is now coordinating with city urban forestry staff. Daisy also noted challenges facing a local food distribution effort and said additional volunteers would be needed to restore regular operations.
