The breakthrough took place in Tunnel T8, which spans an impressive 14.57 kilometers. TBM Shakti successfully excavated 10.50 kilometers of the tunnel in just 28 months, marking a major engineering milestone. This accomplishment highlights the rapid pace and advanced technology being used in this strategic Himalayan railway project. On this momentous occasion, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami were present at the site in Devprayag to witness and celebrate the breakthrough.
