Officials said final lining of the main tunnel is almost done, with only about 300–375 metres remaining, expected to finish within two to three months. Engineers detailed stage-wise construction, including slope stabilisation using rock bolts, grouting, wire mesh and shotcrete before excavation progressed inward. Authorities also confirmed future modifications to accommodate a village road above the portal.
