Coopers Rock State Forest felt like stepping directly into a postcard today. Standing at the main overlook, the world suddenly opened up into a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Cheat River Gorge rolling out far below. The crisp mountain air and the endless sea of green treetops stretching toward the horizon instantly made the drive worthwhile. After soaking in the views, it was time to head into the woods along the Clay Furnace Trail. The path winding through the quiet forest provided a perfect, peaceful escape. Walking among the massive rhododendrons and towering trees made for an unforgettable day of exploring West Virginia's wild beauty.
