Return of the Tri-Rail F40!

The moment South Florida railfans and commuter buffs have finally been waiting for! Tri-Rail (SFRTA) spent the morning testing F40PHM-3C (No, not an L, my bad) #809 on a Test Train from Hialeah to Miami Gardens. I was able to get it working its way across Iris. The lumbering pace of the locomotive allows us to hear more of the EMD 645 prime movers and the HEP generators, as well as get a taste of the Nathan P5A horn mounted up top. The 809 has been with Tri-Rail since the commuter service's early days, and was taken out of service right around when the Brookville BL36PHs came in. Progress Rail in Georgia rebuilt it, as well as 807, 808, and 811. We will probably see more of these test runs in the coming weeks. We'll see it make its run, as well as other trains in the morning rush and FEC train 121. Keep in touch! MY SOCIALS: Follow TolgaEastCoast on Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/tolgaeastco...
