Master The Twoey Counter in Pickleball
Struggling to win hand battles on your backhand side? In this CCC lesson, I work with Michael on switching from a one-handed backhand counter to a two-handed counter. His one-hander wasn’t “wrong,” but it kept him stuck in defensive positions - floating balls, blocking instead of countering, and losing offensive momentum. By giving him a two-handed backhand volley, we opened up: more stability more offense better paddle path cleaner contact and a counter that actually wins the exchange instead of just surviving it We broke down the swing path & footwork to make this shot work at the higher levels and in just one session, his counters got faster, heavier, and way more confident. If you’ve ever felt stuck defending instead of attacking on your backhand side, this lesson will help you flip that pattern fast. This video is part of my CCC (Cori’s Court Correction) series: real players, real coaching, real fixes you can use to level up your pickleball game. 👉 Subscribe for more pickleball lessons, drills, and strategy!
