Barbecue in Texas is progressing due to the new Barbaquero Movement. (What is a Barbaquero - a pit master with Mexican Food/ Culture influences and a strong focus on Tacos). The Burnt Bean Co. in Seguin, TX is not your ordinary TX BBQ spot. One of the things that separates them is that they have 2 award winning Pit Masters (Ernest Servantes / David Kirkland) working in tandem to smoke up some of the BEST BBQ that Texas has to offer. On Sundays they are offering up a Mexican Brunch Menu that is creative and literally has everyone in Texas talking about it. I had the opportunity to visit Burnt Bean Co. and my taste buds have not been the same.
