Route 66 - Oklahoma - Tulsa to Weatherford | Solo RV Travel and Adventure GPS

I continue to travel Route 66 west during the centennial year. This segment is in Oklahoma as I drive from Tulsa to Weatherford and pass through the state capital, Oklahoma City. I stop at locations that helped define a century of driving the historic highway. We see and pass by historic locations in Tulsa, Sapulpa, Bristow, Depew, Stroud, Chandler, Wellston, Luther, Arcadia, Oklahoma City, Bethany, Yukon, El Reno, Geary, Bridgeport, Hydro and Weatherford. The combination of rural and urban settings is dense and rich with Route 66 locations. Some highlights include several unique bridges, signs and exploring unique places like Pops, The Round Barn, and the location where former Beatle Paul McCartney stopped to ask directions. Of course, many restaurants, motels and other well known stops are along the way.
