Kulturhafen Groß Neuendorf - Ein wunderschöner Paddeltag

Küstrin-Kietz to Groß Neuendorf (approx. 23 km) - Day 4 After the Polish night shift kept us company throughout the Sunday night, we began the next morning with a leisurely stroll through Kostrzyn nad Odrą. There, we visited, among other things, the Küstrin Fortress and the Polish market. However, we decided to eat at Fischer Schneider's restaurant. Well fortified, we continued downstream around 1 p.m., passing the mouth of the 808 km long Warta River (Warthe). The day blessed us with beautiful weather and a fresh breeze. We saw many animals, including another white-tailed eagle. Herds of cows and horses grazed on the banks, and many swans froliced in the water. The next interesting river mouth awaited us 3 km before Kienitz. Since Lars still had "The Hell of Tornow" (see Havel Tour!) in the back of his mind, we skipped the unspoiled Mysla for the time being. Besides, we had Hanno with us, but not enough sweets for him. So we continued towards Kienitz. Once there, we inspected potential campsites, but then decided to paddle a little further. After a few unsuccessful attempts, we finally paddled to Groß Neuendorf and camped at the cultural harbor. We really liked it there.
