CRPF Orders Use of Armoured Vehicles for All Movements in Manipur

The CRPF has asked all its units deployed in the state to use on ly armoured vehicles for movement. The directive comes in the wake of two ambushes on Assam Rifles personnel in Manipur and Nagaland. CRPF personnel have also been asked sudden and unplanned deployments. It may be mentioned that in June the CRPF inducted two battalions of its famed COBRA unit to step up operations in the crisis-hit state.
