Don't Hurry Past: 1954 Cerebral Palsy Documentary
In 1954 this documentary was shot by Fritz Spiess as a volunteer to help promote a general understanding of children born with Cerebral Palsy. The film was sponsored by Mrs. W.G. Finlay and Panda Photography. Sound by Paul Rice. The opening street scenes give a great background on life in a rapidly growing Toronto in the 1950s and attitudes toward children with disabilities. This film was transferred to video in 1998 by Dave productions and the original and notes are part of the University of Toronto Media Commons archive. http://mediacommons.library.utoronto.... http://www.FritzSpiessArchive.com http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_Sp...
