In this video, we share our complete day exploring the Colón cruise port and our shore excursion to the famous Miraflores Locks Visitor Center. Unfortunately, no ships passed through the new or old locks during our visit (bad timing!), but we still had an amazing experience watching the stunning IMAX 3D film “A Land Divided, A World United” narrated by Morgan Freeman, exploring the interactive exhibits, and getting breathtaking views of the Panama Canal locks from the observation decks. After Miraflores, we took a scenic drive through modern Panama City, learning all about its dramatic history, vibrant culture, and friendly people from our fantastic local guide. After our tour before getting back on the ship, we made a fun stop at a local Panamanian supermarket – always a highlight to see everyday life and pick up some snacks!
