Locomotive consist: CN 3137 - GE ET44AC - CN Noodle w/ website CN 3019 - GE ET44AC - CN Noodle w/ website This crossing is located on the CN Kingston Subdivision. Bell sequence: Bells ring until gates rise. Horn setting: Quiet zone. Invensys Rail WT/F cantilever on the left: An Invensys Rail gate mechanism with RECO LED gate lights, 4 pairs of Safetran 12x20" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs and a low tone Siemens electronic bell. Signal on the far right: An L&W base, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism with RECO LED gate lights and 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs. Signal on the near left: An L&W base, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism with RECO LED gate lights and 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs. Harmon cantilever on the right: A Safetran gate mechanism with RECO LED gate lights, 5 pairs of Safetran 12x20" lights with Harmon Fading LEDs and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell. Before the sun fell, I decided to spend the remaining time with daylight filming a couple crossings in Les Coteaux. After I caught a VIA Rail train at the Rue Lippée crossing, I came over here in hopes of getting this crossing filmed. As I pulled up, I saw there was a CN manifest train approaching in the distance. I thankfully had enough time to get my camera rolling before the crossing activated, and the train came through with a pair of ET44AC GEVOs for power. This crossing is a rather nice one. Originally, the crossing would’ve featured this cantilever, as well as an older WCH signal on the far side. Both signals featured incandescent Safetran 8” lights, and a pair of mechanical bells of some sort. In the 2000s, both bells were replaced with GS Type 2 E-Bells. Then between 2009 and 2011, the far signal was replaced with a newer Safetran one, albeit the GS Type 2 being reused on it. The near cantilever also got an LED upgrade with the current lights. Then not long after in the mid-2010s, the far signal was replaced with the current Invensys Rail WT/F cantilever, and the two pedestrian signals were added. Please comment, like and subscribe!
