Segmented Fruit Bowl Pt 3: Turning and Finishing the Bowl

In this video I turn and finish the segmented fruit bowl I was commissioned to make. It's turned using a 1/2'" spindle gouge and a round nose scraper, before being sanded to 400 grit, burnished with shavings, oiled and finally finished with Yorkshire Grit, Hampshire Sheen High Gloss on the outside and pure Carnauba Wax on the inside. It's amazing seeing the various species (Walnut, Maple, Sapele and African Padauk) come to life when the first coat of oil is applied. I hope you've enjoyed watching this series of videos. If you haven't see the two previous videos relating to this bowl please go back back and watch them. Many thanks to all my Subscribers for your continued support.
