At Resto VanHarte in Amsterdam East, a community restaurant serving as part of the Sociale Basis Amsterdam Oost, King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima, Federal President Steinmeier, and Mrs. Büdenbender spoke with volunteers and local residents on Tuesday about creating more connection within the neighborhood, reducing loneliness, and improving financial health. In doing so, Sociale Basis Amsterdam Oost acts as the connecting factor behind various social initiatives in the district by bringing parties and residents into contact with one another.
