New York City (June 5, 2026)

Here's the rest of my transit views of New York City on my most recent visit a few weeks ago. On this lovely Friday, the New York Knicks were about to battle the San Antonio Spurs in game 2 of the NBA Finals, and they were up 1-0 in the best of 7 championship series. This being the Knicks' first NBA Finals appearance since 1999, my hometown was absolutely electric. Following an early afternoon excursion to Chelsea in Manhattan to meet friends, I spent the late afternoon and evening on an outing, first to the Ludlow station on Metro-North's Hudson Line (my previous upload), followed by a journey to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, the heart of the Bronx's Little Italy (immortalized in "A Bronx Tale") for dinner with ‪@michaelglikin5875‬ at Enzo's. Highly recommended!!! We got there via the Bx7, Bx12 +SBS+ and Bx12 local buses. Following that was a ride on the Bx15 bus to the Hub on 149th Street. The bus was very busy, and several riders were streaming the game on their phones and sharing with fellow riders. It was a fun and quite chill bus ride. As I was walking back to where I was staying in Kew Gardens, from the LIRR station, the Knicks won game 2 in a last second thriller and loud cheers erupted from several homes along the street I was walking down. Such an enjoyable moment!! The Knicks would go on to become NBA Champions for the first time since 1973, winning the Finals 4 games to 1 (sorry for the "5-1" typo) just 8 days later. It's always fun to be in NYC in the summer but this year was extra special. Enjoy!!
