Onride: 'Speed of sound' 🎢 4K/POV 2026 - Walibi Holland

On this musical roller coaster, you'll go through a looping both forward and backward - all while listening to some awesome beats. Buckle up, it's a thrill ride! The Speed of Sound (formerly La Via Volta ) is a steel shuttle roller coaster at the Dutch amusement park Walibi Holland . The roller coaster was built in 2000 after the park was acquired by the Six Flags Group. Speed of Sound is a standard Vekoma boomerang coaster . A total of about fifty of these coasters have already been built, distributed all over the world. A distinctive feature of the coaster is that the vehicles are first pulled up backwards, before being released forwards. After reaching the end of the track, the trajectory is traveled in the reverse direction, but in reverse. Speed of Sound features three inversions that are all traversed twice: a boomerang (or cobra roll) and a loop. Visitors therefore experience six inversions during the ride. Two songs are played on this coaster, one during the ride and the other in the station. ©ThemeParkNomadsOfficial. All rights reserved.
