Onride: 'Untamed' 🎢 (Backseat) 4K/POV 2026 - Walibi Holland

The tension rises as you slowly climb that first hill This wooden and steel roller coaster offers an untamed ride you'll never forget. Untamed is a steel hybrid roller coaster at Walibi Holland, built by Rocky Mountain Construction . The roller coaster is the result of an extensive renovation of the former Robin Hood roller coaster , in which the wooden track sections were replaced with steel and elements such as inversions were added. It opened on July 1, 2019. On February 6, 2018, Walibi Holland announced the construction of Untamed after which preparatory work began in October 2018. In early November, the partial demolition of Robin Hood began . The wooden track sections were removed and the wooden structure was partially dismantled. The old theming was also removed. On February 15, 2019, the roller coaster reached its highest point following the installation of the top section of the lift hill. The final track section was placed on May 16, 2019, after which the first test ride took place on June 6, 2019. For a short time, Untamed was the only roller coaster of its kind in Europe, until the Zadra roller coaster opened at the Polish theme park Energylandia on August 22, 2019. The roller coaster has two trains . The trains feature insect-head markings at the front and are clad with reflective surfaces on the sides. Each train seat is equipped with a lap bar and a seatbelt. Because the seatbelt must be checked by staff prior to the ride, visitors are not permitted to fasten the lap bar themselves. This is made clear to visitors via an announcement system in the station. The ride begins with an outside banked corner : an outward curve at a 45-degree angle. Next, the ascent begins to a height of 36.5 meters. Subsequently, the train descends at an 80-degree angle and reaches its top speed of 92 km/h. Immediately after the descent, the train goes over a small hill called a micro bunny . Following this, the track gains height again and curves to the left. At the top of this curve is the 270-degree double inverting corner stall , an element with two inversions. After the turn, the runway loses elevation again before ascending a hill. Next, the runway makes a sharp turn to the left and downward. This is followed by a regular airtime hill and an outward-facing airtime hill: an outside-banked curved airtime hill. After that, the runway goes through the third inversion: a step-up under flip. The ride then curves toward a 97-degree outside stall . This is followed by a double up, double down, an element with multiple airtime moments. Next comes the fourth inversion: a 140-degree stall. After this inversion follows a 100-degree right-hand banked turn. What follows are two smaller airtime hills and a banked airtime hill. The track then dives under the wooden structure to enter the fifth and final inversion: an uphill barrel roll. The train then goes up only a small hill before hitting the final brakes. ©ThemeParkNomadsOfficial. All rights reserved.
