This wasn't the video we planned to make. We headed to California's Eastern Sierra to conquer the legendary Big Pine Creek trail, but as our thumbnail says, we had to turn back. Our adventure started with a series of unexpected problems on the road (from faulty sensors to flapping cargo doors!), followed by our most challenging and unlevel campsite setup ever. The next day, we set off on the beautiful—and grueling—hike into the John Muir Wilderness, but the high altitude had other plans for us.
