As you hike uphill, sculptures appear unexpectedly among trees, rock ledges, and forest clearings. Some are abstract, some monumental, and some blend so naturally into the landscape that they seem to have always belonged there. Andres Institute of Art is where art and nature come together in one of New England’s most unique, wondrous and largest outdoor sculpture experiences. Located on the slopes of a former ski mountain in Brookline, the sculpture park features more than 100 large-scale works of art spread across approximately 140 acres and over 10 miles of hiking trails. The sculptures, created by artists from more than 40 countries, are crafted from materials including steel, granite, concrete, and other durable materials designed to withstand New England’s ever-changing and harsh weather.
